Bambatu Napangardi
Born c.1940 east of Kintore, Bambatu was married to the late well-known artist Dini Campbell and was his apprentice for many years. Bambatu depicts traditional designs associated with the secret and sacred 'Tingari' women's ceremonies. She uses delicate line work and dotting techniques to represent ceremonial body designs and many of the traditional symbols common to Central Desert paintings. Bambatu's talents have been recognised by collectors worldwide.
