Nyurapayia Nampitjinpa Nyurapayia is the wife of the late John John Bennett who painted for the Papunya Tula art community until his death in 2002. Born c.1935 at Yumarra, north of Docker River, Nyurapayia currently lives in Kintore but often travels south to visit relatives Tjukurla and Warajurna. She was named among the Top 50 of Australia's Most Collectable Artists in the Australian Art Collector, January-March 2001. |
